What it means for you

  • Check a rating before you order at ratings.food.gov.uk. Businesses in England do not have to display their sticker, so the register is the reliable place to look.
  • A rating is a snapshot of one inspection day. It covers hygiene, the state of the premises and how the business manages food safety, not the quality of the food.
  • Low ratings can take a few weeks to show on the register because of the appeal window. Inspections from September may not all be listed yet.
  • If you have a concern about a food business, you can report it to Wokingham Borough Council’s environmental health team at environmental.health@wokingham.gov.uk.
