Wokingham Pantomime's Snow White runs 29 and 30 December at the Whitty Theatre: three performances only, £23 adults and £18 under-18s, on sale now.

Wokingham’s pantomime this Christmas is Snow White, and it runs for three performances only, on Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 December 2026 at the Whitty Theatre. Tickets have been on sale since mid-August at £23 for adults and £18 for under-18s, plus a booking fee (Wokingham.Today, 18 August 2026).

That is the whole run. There is no week-long Wokingham panto and no Boxing Day opening. The three performances are:

  • Wednesday 30 December, 2pm
  • Wednesday 30 December, 6pm

Wokingham Pantomime is a community company, not a touring producer, and a 170-seat venue across two days is a small amount of stock. If a Wokingham panto is the plan, book it before the theatres in Reading and Woodley, which run for weeks and will still have seats in December.

Who is in it

Snow White will be played by Bella, 18, in her third year with the company, having played a magic bean in last year’s Jack and the Beanstalk. She told Wokingham.Today: “I’m looking forward to the costuming, getting to sing, and sharing the stage with some of my closest friends. Everyone in the cast and crew are so lovely, and make everyone feel so welcome.”

The company is run by husband and wife Stan and Jo Hetherington, who produce the shows and make all the costumes. Jo Hetherington said this year’s show has 11 youngsters in a mixed ensemble alongside the adult cast, and added: “We’re also delighted that for the past three years, we have been able to donate tickets to be sold in support of children’s charities, this is a community pantomime, so it’s great to be able to contribute.”

No further casting has been announced.

The venue, and how to book

The Whitty Theatre, Luckley House School, Luckley Road, Wokingham RG40 3EU. Wokingham Borough Council’s directory lists it as a 170-seat theatre with a licensed bar and snacks on site, wheelchair access, designated accessible seating, an accessible toilet and car parking; the theatre manager is Oliver Bamber (Wokingham Directory). Some venue listings elsewhere give the capacity as 176.

The school’s own facilities page adds the detail that matters on the night: 100 parking spaces on site, step-free access to the stage and to many auditorium seats, an assisted listening system, and a bar area (Luckley House School, Whitty Theatre technical specification). The theatre is just under a mile south of the town centre, and its number is 0118 974 3247.

Booking is through TicketSource, at ticketsource.com/wokingham-pantomime, and the company also points people to its Facebook page for tickets and information. We were not able to read the TicketSource pages directly to confirm seat availability: that site returns a 403 to every automated request, so the live sold-out position has to be checked by hand.

The listing that will mislead you

Love Wokingham, the town council’s own what’s-on site, still carries a live-looking event page for last year’s panto, “Wokingham Panto: Jack & the Beanstalk”, showing Monday 29 December 2025 at 6pm and Tuesday 30 December 2025 at 2pm and 6pm, priced £17 to £22 (lovewokingham.co.uk). The dates in December are almost the same each year, which makes the stale page especially easy to mistake for this year’s. The show, the year and the price have all changed.

Wokingham Theatre is not doing a panto

This catches people out every year. Wokingham Theatre, the community theatre at Cantley Park, does not stage a pantomime. Its Christmas production for 2026 is One Man, Two Guvnors, Richard Bean’s farce, running Wednesday 9 to Saturday 19 December 2026 at £17, with tickets going on general sale on Monday 12 October 2026. It is a comedy for adults and older children rather than a family panto (Wokingham Theatre, what’s on).

Two other things at the same venue in the run-up, both already listed:

  • Death and the Maiden, a studio-night production, Wednesday 11 to Saturday 14 November 2026, £12, on general sale Monday 14 September.
  • Wokingham Lions present #Woky Comedy Night, Friday 27 November 2026 at 8.30pm, £19, over-18s only.

Cantley Park is also where the Wokingham fireworks are held, on 7 November.

The nearest alternatives, with dates

Woodley: Cinderella, Pumpkin Pantos. Woodley has its own professional pantomime for the first time, at the Alan Cornish Theatre in the Oakwood Centre, billed as “Woodley’s brand-new, home-grown professional pantomime”. It is listed for Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 January 2027 at the Alan Cornish Theatre, Oakwood Centre, Woodley RG5 4JZ, running approximately two hours including a 20-minute interval, with group bookings for eight or more by email (What’s On Reading; The List). Performance times and prices are not yet readable: the listing’s own schedule panel currently returns “No performances found”, and Woodley Town Council’s events page is empty. The Oakwood Centre has free parking at Woodford Park Leisure Centre, a short walk across the park, and pay and display opposite in Headley Road car park (Woodley Town Council).

Reading: Aladdin at the Hexagon. The big commercial panto within reach runs Saturday 5 December 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027, with Justin Fletcher and Paul Morse returning. Full price tickets are £27 to £47.50, inclusive of fees for e-tickets, with £2 off for under-16s on blue, green and pink performances and £1 off on red ones. Groups of ten or more pay £26.50 to £34.50 with one in 20 free; school groups on blue performances pay £15 with one in 11 free. Box office 0118 960 6060 (What’s On Reading).

The Hexagon is also the only one of these with scheduled access performances:

  • Relaxed performances: Friday 11 December, 10.30am, and Wednesday 30 December, 10.30am. Open to all, but priority goes to customers on the venue’s Access List.
  • BSL interpreted: Saturday 12 December at 1pm, and Monday 28 December at 5pm.

Neither the Wokingham nor the Woodley show has advertised a relaxed, BSL or audio-described performance. If you need one, the Hexagon is the option, and access seats there have to be arranged through the box office rather than booked online.
