Christmas Day lunch around Wokingham costs £62.95 to £120 at ten pubs and hotels: 2026 prices, children's rates, deposits and December festive menus for each.

For Christmas Day around Wokingham, the lowest published prices are at the Three Frogs on London Road (£62.95) and the Wee Waif at Charvil (£64.99). In town, the Broad Street Tavern charges £100 and the Foundry Bell £103, and the top of the range is the Bull Inn at Sonning at £120. Every entry was checked against the venue’s own site on 2 November 2026.

We have not eaten at any of these for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Each entry gives the price on the venue’s own Christmas menu, what that includes, and what the venue says about deposits and booking, plus the Food Standards Agency (FSA) hygiene rating. Every venue below is rated 5.

Wokingham town and Barkham

1. The Broad Street Tavern, Broad Street

The Broad Street Tavern is the Wadworth pub at 29 Broad Street in the town centre. Its Christmas page links menus for Christmas Day at £100 a head and £42.50 for children, plus a Festive Celebration menu through December at £32.50 for two courses or £40.50 for three, a sharing Festive Feast and a festive afternoon tea.

Wadworth’s Christmas terms ask for a £10 non-refundable deposit a head for Christmas Day with payment in full by Friday 11 December, and £5 a head for the festive menus, with a pre-order for every booking.

2. The Foundry Bell, London Road

The Foundry Bell is on London Road on the eastern side of town, one of Greene King’s Crafted pubs. The Christmas Day menu linked from its Christmas page is three courses for £103 a head, with a choice that runs from butter-roasted turkey to beef Wellington and pan-fried halibut, and sides such as pigs in blankets charged extra.

Its December festive menu is £36 for two courses or £40 for three, for parties of four or more and on pre-order only. The page says a children’s festive menu is available on request.

3. The Three Frogs, London Road

The Three Frogs is the Greene King pub further along London Road. Its Christmas Day page offers three courses for £62.95 with “all the special festive extras”, naming Brussels sprouts and pigs in blankets, which makes it the lowest Christmas Day price we found in the borough.

The pub’s booking terms ask for a £10 deposit for every adult and child on Christmas Day, and a £5 deposit a head for festive bookings from 1 December to 3 January.

4. Ye Olde Leathern Bottel, Barkham Road

Ye Olde Leathern Bottel is the Chef & Brewer pub on Barkham Road, on the way out of town towards Barkham. Its Christmas page offers three courses on Christmas Day for £90, with deposits of £10 an adult and £5 a child, and a booking is not confirmed until every menu choice and the deposit are in.

Before the day, its festive menu runs from 12 November to 24 December at £33 for three courses, and the pub also runs Breakfast with Santa (£5 deposit a child).

5. The Crooked Billet, Honey Hill

The Crooked Billet is a family-run pub and restaurant at Honey Hill, south of the town towards Crowthorne. Its food and drink page links a 2026 Christmas Day menu at £115 a head, which starts with a glass of bubbles and nibbles and finishes with coffee or tea and clotted cream fudge; the choices include roast buttermilk turkey, haunch of venison and monkfish, and a Barkham Blue cheese soufflé to start.

Its Christmas party menu is £35 for two courses or £40 for three. The pub says it prefers bookings by phone.

6. Cantley House Hotel, Milton Road

Cantley House is the hotel on Milton Road on the north side of Wokingham, set beside Cantley Park. Its Christmas Day lunch page sells a package at £115 an adult and £39 a child, which includes a glass of bubbly on arrival, a five-course Christmas lunch and table novelties, with tables from 1.30pm.

The hotel also lists festive afternoon tea, a Santa afternoon tea, joiner parties and a New Year’s Eve event on its Christmas pages, and has a downloadable brochure.

7. Toby Carvery Lower Earley

Toby Carvery Lower Earley is in The Square off Chalfont Way. Its Christmas Day menu page prices Christmas Day dining at £77.99, built around the carvery with festive starters first.

Through December its festive menu starts at £16.29 Monday to Friday, £18.29 on Saturdays and £21.29 on Sundays, which is the cheapest Christmas meal on this list. The page says a deposit may be needed at booking.

8. The Wee Waif, Charvil

The Wee Waif is the Hungry Horse pub on the Old Bath Road at Charvil, near Twyford. Its Christmas Day page prices three courses at £64.99 for adults and £24.99 for children, the lowest children’s price we found, with a separate no-gluten Christmas Day menu.

Deposits are £10 an adult and £5 a child. The pub also runs Breakfast with Santa on set dates in December.

9. The Great House at Sonning

The Great House is the riverside hotel at Sonning Bridge, where the restaurant is run by Coppa Club. Its Christmas page offers four courses on Christmas Day for £100 a head, with a separate children’s Christmas Day menu.

From 18 November to 24 December the festive menu is £40.50 for two courses or £45.50 for three, and the Signature Celebration menu £52 or £60. For tables of more than six it asks for a pre-order five days ahead and a £20 deposit a head, and adds a 12.5% service charge.

10. The Bull Inn, Sonning

The Bull Inn is the Fuller’s pub with rooms on Sonning High Street. Its Christmas Day menu is £120 a head, starting with a glass of English sparkling wine and canapés, and the children’s Christmas Day menu is £60 for children 12 and under.

Its Christmas dining menu and Boxing Day menu are both £43 for two courses or £47 for three, and it also lists a New Year’s Eve menu and Christmas hotel stays.

11. Heron on the Ford, Charvil

Heron on the Ford is the independent pub on Landsend Lane in Charvil. Its Christmas page has a 2026 Christmas menu at £35 for two courses or £45 for three, with a £15 deposit a head and food pre-ordered seven days before.

The pub says it does not take Christmas party bookings online: email info@heronontheford.co.uk or phone. It is closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, open 12pm to 6pm on Sunday 27 December, and back to its usual hours from 2 January.
